Subject: ease of finding 'skilled worker' job?
If my finace comes here as a skilled worker, how easy is it for him to get a job? His field is in demand here (CNC machinist), and he speaks fluent English (he´s from Finland), but generally do immigrants get hired easily or are they put at the bottom of the barrel so to speak?

And this is better option that spousal sponsorship? Or would it be easier for him to get a job if he is here already?

he may want to look into a work permit or Provincial nominee program. where do you live? reason I suggest it is because you can´t sponsor a fiance and a work permit may be much faster and easier.

I´m Canadian.
I mean I´d sponsor him after we married.

Work permit is different than skilled worker? I´ll look into the provincial nominee program too.

but work permit is better for YOU. no legal liability, no proof of relationship, no 1 year wait for common law, no wedding wait, no nothing.

Once he is here on a work permit, he can apply as a skilled worker from inside the country.

really and truly, if he can arrive on his own merits in a reasonable amount of time, it is a far easier process.
