Subject: Application from UK
  Hey there!

I`m looking for some advice on what is the best way to approach immigration now.
My husband is Canadian and after most of his life in the UK he has decided it is time to move home. I`m all for it as i am looking for a change of scene before we settle down and start a family.
We have been refused our sponsorship application, we assume, on the grounds that he is not living, working or owns any property in Canada.
We are wondering where to go from here.
Option 1: for him to move back and set up shop so to speak while I remain here and carry on till we get approved (which would end up being extremely expensive- two houses, two sets of taxes etc) not to mention the fact that we have spent a lot of time apart before due to our studies and we aren`t keen to go through that again.
Option 2: for him to go over and start work while I lounge around on a tourist visa (possibly doing some voluntary work?) and start the process over there, which sounds like a long and hellish process.

Can anyone help with any suggestions or advice on this, please?

Hi,
Either your husband change his mind and keep himself happy in UK or yes; you have only the options you have mentioned.

you should consider how you can best address CIC´s concerns that he is not intending to re-establish himself in Canada. He should order the CAIPS notes and determine in absolute terms why you were refused. There should have been some reasons in the refusal letter as well.
