Subject: 3 years waiting became 5 years
  Hi!

I would just like to ask if anyone had experienced a 3 year waiting for immigration and then after 3 years waiting there´s no reply yet. So you had to fax a follow up and was advised that it is now 5 years waiting? I mean, is this really the rule now? I thought you´d be receiving a letter from the embassy to advise you of any changes? And as far as I know this change is not showing in the embassy´s website.

Thanks!

Hi,
Can you tell me which office you are applying through, and for which type of visa? Thanks.

have you moved or have you attempted to find your file on e-case?

what was the last correspondence you had from CIC

this is applied directly to the canadian embassy here in phillipines.. I don´t know which type of visa you´re asking about but the application is for immigration.

sharon, I haven´t attempted to find it on e-case..I´m not familiar with that.. maybe you can help me how..

there was no correspondence until we faxed a follow up because it has been more than 3 years already which is the noted maximum waiting time sent by the embassy thru mail after the application was received by them.

Hope you can give me some more inputs on this.

thanks!

1) are you applying as a skilled worker or as a family member
2) do you have a document with a reference number on it
3) what was the last letter you received?

e-case allows you to input your file number into a website and it will give you your the status of your file.

something does not seem right.
