Subject: Medical exam and response
We had completed the medical exam on Nov-2007 and so far we did not get any response. During medical exam, my wife was pregnant and we did not take chest x-ray for my wife. Do we need to take x-ray after baby born? Then how long would it take to get response from immigration for the next step?

Thanks in advance for your response.
K.

The DMP (Designated Medical Practitioner) told us to send a reminder to Immigration center to check whether they have received the medical exams reports or not. Could you anyone send me the e-mail id of Canadian immigration to ask this information?

Thanks again,
K.

Yes, you do need to take X-ray after the baby is born and also request for medical forms for the baby.

Anonymous,

I believe that contacting CIC to confirm that the Medical Reports have arrived is unnecessary...

After your Medical Exams were done, your doctor´s office should have given you a parcel tracking number and the name of the company they used to send your package to CIC... then with that information you contact the company and ask about the status of your package... sometimes you talk to a person, sometimes it is a automated system who answers and requests the tracking number... that way you should be able to find out if the medical examination results have reached CIC, when, and even who signed for it at the CIC office...

I think you need to contact CIC only if you are not able to find out the status of the delivery of the Medical Exams thru the mail service company your doctor used to send the package ...

If you track down your package and know that it has reached CIC, then you just wait few months for them to send the next letter (hopefully your passport request letter)... your status on the CIC site will change acknoledging the fact that the Medical Exams have arrived... but this also takes time...

I hope someone else can confirm what I´m telling you here...

Good luck... you are almost there!
