Why are we here so much of time?

Subject: Why are we here so much of time?
I find myself asking myself this. Why are many of us are here, often day-in and day-out, responding, commenting, advising, debating, and sometimes arguing. Many of us are here silently, just reading posts and rarely commenting. Nevertheless, they´re among the regular group too.

As for me, I´ve made a decision in favor of moving to Canada long ago. Where I live for now, no one has the slightest interest in anything Canada. Their eyes glaze over at the mere mention of it. It´s a self-centered society with no interest in anything foreign.

So my refuge of good discussion, information, and similar interest about Canada is here. At least until I make the move soon. I like hearing what the Canucks and settled PRs have to say, and learn much from them. I feel more at home with you guys in many ways than with the self-absorbed locals all around me here. So that´s my excuse.

Yet I don´t want to spend endless hours in debates on the correctness of such a decision, whether mine and others. So I agree with Ray Masa on that point. That´s a decision deep in one´s soul, and only the individual can decide such things for themselves, with their own research of facts and emotions.

I have no particular point to make here except these observations. I hope we can continue to be a forum to share thoughts for people with both immigration intent and those with just plain interest about Canada.

I got sucked in about 5 years ago when I met my friend from North Africa. I had no idea about the rules and wanted to be able to help him navigate the process. Then I got caught in the questions about Canada. Then I got caught in the stories of some of our members and I genuinely care about the outcome for them.

Now it is a bad habit. With very few of us from inside the country, I feel like I can help fill in some of the blanks.

and finally, I think I likely have adult ADHD :) and I need to be doing 5 things at once to keep myself stimulated so when I feel myself losing focus on something I check in here.

Like now! I should be putting in a load of laundry and cleaning my bathroom.

ps, I love chatting with you about Canada.

your mind and heart also need cleansing, not just the bathroom.

Richard,
I´m here to contribute my thoughts about what I know from mine and my friends collective experiences regarding skilled immigration for prospective skilled immigrants.

Also to learn more about Canada and Canadians and what educated Canadians think about issues being discussed in the forum.
