Lying is a BAD idea in any case. It can very easily get to you.

Now, you are applying for a student visa. Essentially, application for it means "I am going to come to Canada, study and then go back". Why would they have any problems with funds coming from USA?!

Just tell them that your husband in USA will be the one funding the education. I don´t see how they will have a problem with that.

So, lying would not gain you anything at all. It can get you into a LOT of trouble. That is not even going into ethical considerations.

So, do not lie!

As a general rule, it is never a good idea to lie to immigration officials. These people are professionals and they make it their job to detect people who are not truthful, and if you lie, they will most likely pick up on it, and refuse your visa, and prevent you from entering Canada in the future.

Canada is a compassionate country, and understands that people who have immigration plans also have complicated personal lives, with partners all over the world. Just be honest, and you´ll be glad you did.
