Subject: quick question about caips codes
I got my caips notes today.
My background dec are still blank or have a zero so I guess it means it is not over yet. Else matches exactly what I expected so nothing wrong.

But does anyone knows the difference between BF´D (bring forward) date and BF (???) date ?

My BF´D is Nov 2 2007 and my BF date is Nov 11 2008

I have been waiting nearly 5 months since medicals and I am worried now about this BF date. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN ??????

That is the date when the file is supposed to be brought forward for review. The file is then either reviewed or another BF´D date is given. You be patient, things will pick up since holiday/busy season is over.

Does that means that the new BF Date for CBV is Nov 11 2008? That is, the file review has been pushed back by a year? Hope thats not true.

Thanks Samm for your answer

Ray

I don´t think it is true because there is a line in my CAIPS that says "intend to proceed within Meds expiration? Y"

Y means yes so I guess this BF is just a paperwork-purpose because my Meds expires in 7 months!

I wanted to hear opinions from expert on this forum that is why I asked.

Thanks CBV. I sure hope you are right, the wait is too frustrating.

CBV, I think you are correct in how you are interpreting the notations. I can´t imagine it dragging out longer -

Thanks Sharon.

I hope I will get it soon. The longer it takes the harder it gets but also statiscally the probability of getting it increases with time.

I´ll keep you posted.
Can´t wait to be in Canada.

All the best CBV for the PPR!!!

I am moving back to Canada from US permanently on 31st of January after finishing off landing in November 2007. Have been in Canada for 4 years and I liked it much better compared to US.

Praveen,

I´m always interested in why many like Canada over U.S., with myself included in this group. Would you be able to share? If too personal, I understand.

Otherwise, sorry to intrude here.

The difference on the BF bring forward or PU Put Away is the initials after those dates. It means to bring forward to officer FGH or when the other officer is finished with it that officer initials are KJL is telling the records clerk to put it away.

I suggest you contact CSIS direct to ask if your clearance has ever been completed or requested.
