Subject: Are there real advantages?
I´m just wondering, are there any real advantages to apply from my own coutry´s office. Let´s say I´m a Singaporean and living in Singapore, and I apply from local office. Are there advantages for my application compared to non-singaporeans´ applying in Singapore? Are we in separate waiting lines? If in the same line and being processed in order? Wha´s the point, there´s no advantage, right?

In the rules somewhere I have read that one of the factor that could delay your application is "applying from a country where you are not permanent resident".

So to answer your question the answer is YES there is an advantage in terms of timings.

BUT on the other hands, applying from your home country may mean applying at a local visa office where waiting times may be very long. It all depends on the location.

you have 2 choices only - the country where you are currently living IF you have been legally admitted there for 1 year OR your country or origin. No other options and no separate wait lines.
