(in reply to: Middle name mis-spelled in PR card) This normally happens if your middle name is too long to fit in the field , my husband´s is the same. It is not a spelling mistake so no problems

(in reply to: Middle name mis-spelled in PR card) Is it spelled correctly on your COPR form which will be required for Citizenship?

Middle name mis-spelled in PR card (in reply to: Middle name mis-spelled in PR card) Hi Roy and (Anonymous);
Thanks for your responses.
I just checked my COPR form. It is also missing the "last letter" of the middle name.
Will it cause any problem? Please advise.
Thanks. Chowdhury

(in reply to: Middle name mis-spelled in PR card) Husbands COPR is the same , the field length for first and middle name is 15 characters (including spaces) anything else gets truncated.
Annoying perhaps but not a problem

Reply to the Middle name mis-spelled in PR card posting (in reply to: Middle name mis-spelled in PR card) Called CIC and confirmed that it is not a problem:
Check the PR Card GUIDE: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/5445E.PDF
On page 4
Section A: Personal details
Note between 1 and 2:
Note: Due to the card?s limited space, family names longer than 20 characters and given names longer than 15 characters are automatically shortened.
So, it is NOT a problem.
Thanks everyone.
