Hi, I have recently arrived to Canada on work permit. I would like to apply for permanent resident under skilled worker category. Is it possible for me to apply in canada. How long will it take to process.
I am an engineer and I have a permanent job with an MNC

Yes you can, but you have to apply from usa, i did same thing, i got my pr in one and half year.if you need any thing more ask me......

I am in similar situation as japankumar.
How did you apply ? On own or thru a immig consultant ?
(they are pretty expensive for filling out few forms).
If thru a consultant how much did you spend?

I am a new member of this forum.i am in International student ,done my mba it frm india.and PG from Canada.recently on PG workpermit expiring in Aug 2008.planning to put Up PR file.can you tell me general processing time to GET PR ?is it 2.5 years?
