exactly! Buffalo becomes the application point for inland WP holders. If the applicant is lucky enough to navigate a PNP - that changes the process entirely, but from what I am ready... those opportunities are few and far between.
In-land applicants get into the same lineup as the US resident. I guess they thought the line/wait would never get so long.
What a mess. We have companies desperate for staff and we can´t seem to get the right skills here fast enough.
The stats Canada report that came out this week has sparked a lot of discussion. Lots of cries for a total overhaul. The skills we want are stuck in a line with skills we don´t really need and by the time it all gets sorted out, the country will be economically slowing down and the need will be over.

(in reply to: Richard, about Buffalo 2) Well put, Sharon. This is what we were all trying to say. The upcoming Economic Class process should provide some relief for these immediate skills needs.

(in reply to: Richard, about Buffalo 2) is your name Richard? my conversation was directed towards him - not to you.

(in reply to: Richard, about Buffalo 2) Richard, you were asking about Balwant. We found him. If you noticed there are some postings missing from this thread - hence the odd thought trail.
There was a ID getting rather rude yesterday so I reported it to our administrator who suggested that the IP had been used by several people but they all used Balwant´s email as a reference. Searching the IP would suggest he is back in Georgetown.
The admin has blocked the IP so I guess he will need to find an internet cafe if he wants to participate any further.
For a guy who talked so much about integrity and professional conduct, I am less than impressed.

(in reply to: Richard, about Buffalo 2) Sharon,
Could have been Balwant. But I personally don´t think so. Balwant didn´t often agree with comments and views here and his posts reflected that. But I never saw him stoop to that low of a level of those recent posts.
He was actually quite cordial and civil with good contributions here before leaving, I thought. I wonder if Roy still meets with him in Toronto.
In any event, glad to see those anonymous posts deleted.

(in reply to: Richard, about Buffalo 2) well, I would like to agree with you but it is not reasonable to think that anyone else would use that very same computer and email as a contact. I guess we can assume he has an office full of employees on a router that now frequent this forum and use one email as a contact? Which one is tougher to believe?
Regrettably, I have also seen some of Mr. Persuads offline email directed my way that would suggest he is anything but civil.
When I talked to Roy about the Buffalo question he said he had not seen or heard from ´Bally´ for several weeks.
