Are you going to the game? Does Chicago still have funky blackout rules if their games don´t sell out, or has that eased up? It´s hockey night for us here too, but not against a Canadian team (and Colorado always beats us, so it´s not likely to be a nailbiter). Our team did get to be on HNIC last weekend but we were blacked out from the CIC feed (we subscribe to Center Ice) because it was shown locally. Figures.

Not sure I can root for Chicago tonight; we need to catch up to you! :)

DC, you´re on top of this. Yes, still blacked out for Blackhawk home games here, unfortunately. Team owner is very cash oriented and wants fans to buy the tickets instead.

You must be in Columbus. I think I remember that now. Blue Jackets. I see we´re just ahead of you by a point in the Western Conference. Colorado is usually pretty good, so should be a tough game.

Wanted to rib the Vancouverites on the board, since the Canucks are here tonight. I see you remember HNIC, a national event there. Almost everything came to a standstill on Saturday nights with every TV tuned to CBC. I can´t remember his name, but there was always a former coach co-hosting, dressed like a stylish pimp. Couldn´t figure what that was all about.

Do not defame my home town boy Don Cherry. Barrie was the farm team for the Leafs when they were winning until Harold sold the farm team to the LA Kings at expansion and the leafs have not won since........

Don Cherry is odd for sure, but a national personality regardless. I can´t quite decide how I feel about him.

Sorry Richard that you lost last night. We actually beat Colorado--only the third time in 7 years!--and jumped over the Hawks in the standings. Unbelievable. A night of upsets all around.

That´s it, Don Cherry. What a character. Sharon and Roy have a lot of explaining to do about that uniquely Canadian phenonemon. :-)

Cant´ believe those results from last night, DC. Those standings are only temporary!

in my mind, he is beyond explanation. His commentary might have merit but I can never get past the wardrobe and bravado.

Temporary for sure, Richard. We´re due up for the long downhill slide any time now. Hitchcock has some tricks up his sleeve it seems (which has to explain the rebound and win last night), but no CBJ fan has too high of hopes (it only took a few years, but we´ve learned). :(

Yes wannabe, would be good to see Columbus with the Stanley Cup eventually. But it´s such a new team to the NHL that it may take some time yet.

Headlines in Chicago Trib today, "Vancouver goalie continues mastery of Hawks´. Quite a concession from Tribune sports writers to Canucks´ playing ability. Apparently their goalie is a problem needing to be "solved".
