I am currently in University of Alberta with study permit. I will be graduating this April 2008 (BSc. Pharm) and have a job (contract) lined up for May 2008.
1) Can I still apply for Permanent Residency right now? (I have resided in Canada for more than a year) I want to get PR asap.
2) Under skilled worker it says you need at least 1 year of work experience before applying. However, I have worked in the field for more than a year during my student years. Can that be applied instead as well?
3) Also, since I am in currently in Canada and have resided in Canada for more than a year, will my application process be processed in Visa Office within Canada/north america or back to visa office in Country of Citizenship?
**For those who have applied how long did it take until PR came out?????
THANKS!!!

(in reply to: Help! Urgent Immigration Question) Your employment has to be employer specific to count. I suggest go after your employer to seek out a PNP certificate on your behalf.
