I would like to file H&C for my mother, despite the success rate is not high historically.

The passport she holds (HK SAR Passport)does not require a visitor visa, would she has a problem to re-enter canada in the future if H&C fail (heaven forbids)? We still have family and ties outside canada.

Would my mom have problem to enter the country again or being sponsor in the future??

thank you again.

One could answer that if you posted how your mother entered Canada and whether or not she filed a refugee claim.

If she came here as a visitor and you filed a H&C application on her behalf and you lost of course she would of probably remained beyond her valid status date. She would have applied for permanent residency while in visitor status.

You will need forty pages of submissions and a couple hundred of supporting documents to prove your case. See IP5 section 5.24, 6.7, 6.8 and section 11

Thanks Roy, she came here legally as a visitor. would she has problem to re-enter in the future?

forty pages of submission and a couple hundred of docs?? what could that possibly be?

Also, what´s the timeline for H&C anyway? CIC website says 2-3 weeks. is that true?

thanks/

Jeff

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/process-in.asp#perm_res 1-2 months when just three months ago the processing time was 18-24 months. Is that true NO!!!!!

CIC Vegreville used to take four months just to open the application. Now they open it real fast and forward the application to the local office where they will store same.

I think I have answered you before Jeff.

Go to my site www.cvimmigration.com and click on the third success story. The issue here that you must address is processing times. Reunification of family etc. Blame the politicians. Show that the unusual hardship towards your mother is unfair etc. IT IS ALL COMMON SENSE!

If you can´t find anything yourself in support of a reason to keep mom here walk away from the idea of submitting a H&C.

If you think it is common sense that the processing time for your mother is much more then someones mother from Mexico then fight for keeping your mother here.

There is thousands of articles in support of your Mothers application just google and yahoo search.
