Hello
I applied for a study permit at the canadian Embassy here in Lagos, Nigeria on the 25th September 2007 and just got my response today 30th October 2008 . To my greatest suprise, i was refused with the Reasons "You have not Satisfied me that you will leave Canada by the end of the period authorised for your stay" and " You have not Satisfied me that you are a bona fide Student". Kindly advice me on what to do and if possible if i can appeal this decision. or Should i re-apply again ?

You cannot appeal at the local embassy. If you want you can go to Federal Court here in Canada for an Appeal or Judicial Review of your application but it will be costly.
If your circumstances have not changed, they will still refuse you.
The strange thing about Canada is that they are marketing their courses to International students and are refusing genuine students. I know of many students who had their dreams shattered by the two faced immigration system.
The Government of Canada is encouraging international students to come to Canada and the Visa officers are refusing them their visas although they are well qualified and meet all the requirements.
That reason they gave you is a poor excuse and those are the standard words to refuse applicants.
Try the USA or Europe if you want to further your studies or what about universities in Africa. I understand South Africa is good.
You have my sympathy and I wish you well.

i applied for student visa in july 2010 and it was refused bcoz thy said study not relevant and not only mine many mores are rejected of same excuse ,,,,,,,,,what should i do now,,,,,,,shld i reapply or not

I am from Bangladesh. I applied for a student visa in 03 aug 2010. they refused me & the reason they told me that . So at this moment what can I do give me suggestion as soon as possible please..........

if some body from Bangladesh,India or Pakistan. i can help him for getting their student visa if their first application is rejected.i am the same victim as you.but after i rejected i read lot about immigration policies and how to get through the

Hello, I applied for canada student visa from london. now i am in london. but my visa was refused n the reason is you have not provided updated of college letter. actually i have applied for sep 2010 intake but i was late for sep intake so college have transferred my admission in jun 2011 intake.my college have started 7th sep.may be 17th sep embassy called me n told you have late for sep intake so u have talk with college n submit to the late attend letter after that time i got new letter from college n fees receipt n submit to the embassy. but embassy have stamped on my passport 9th sep. how can do that?what should do in my case reapplication or appeal please tell me.

Hi sir, i just got my visa refusal for jan 2011 intake. . and the reason of refusal is very comman i.e U HV NOT SATISFY ME THT U WIL LEAVE CANADA BY END OF THE PERIOD AUHORIZD FOR UR STAY. .BCOZ
UR PROPOSED STUDIES ARE NOT REASONABLE IN LIGHT OF ONE OR MORE OF UR QUALIFICATION. . . . Etc.
But my couse is 100% reasonable. . I hve done Degree in Hotel mgt. . .and i applied for HOTEL & RESTAURANT MGT UNDER HOSPITALITY MGT PROGRAME. . But they still gave a stupid reason to refuse my visa. . . And the shocking news is that my classmate has got visa just 20 days ago in same case. . . There was no any othr problem in my file. .
So plz suggest me wat shud i do now. . . M very upset. . .u can also contact me at 08699126525. . .
