hi everyone,
im trying to get answers here. im a bit confused.
i will soon apply for PR, but im planning to take a month vacation outside Canada right after sending my application for PR. anyone with similar case like this? or should i wait til i get my PR? or should i take vacation first, then come back to canada and send my PR application?
also: yes we are in this "in Canada application thing"...but should an applicant wait, twiddle his finger til he gets his PR? i really wonder why do an "in canada applicant" cant leave canada for a month, while PR is on process (i mean re entry is not guaranteed).
any explanation for these?
thank you very much.

Leaving Canada (in reply to: Leaving Canada while PR is on process) Unfortunately the answer is you take your chances leaving Canada while your PR application is in process. I have done it successfully but I have both a work permit and a valid visa that allowed me to exit and enter freely while awaiting my PR status.
If you have a a valid work permit and a Valid visitor visa then you can feel free to travel in and out. But if you do not it is highly advised that you wait until you get your PR approved and in your hands.
Yes, you sit around and twiddle your thumbs while waiting for PR which can take many months and sometimes years.

Thank you. i have valid work permit good until 2009, and re entry visa. I am planning to take a month vacation (on May 2008) days right after sending my application. I think and i want to believe that, my papers wont be OPENED right away, or theres no one waiting just for my paper, once it got through the immigration office.
When i asked the CIC , they told me, its my choice even if i have permit or re entry, but somebody can tell, that at the back of their minds, "if possible to stay in Canada".
