HI
ME N MY PARENTS SENT OUR PP TO NEW DELHI HC ON JUNE 29th UNDER PARENTS CATEGORY,BUT TILL 8O DAYS THEY DIDNT RESPOND.
SO I SENT THEM A E-MAIL INQUIRING ABT MY CASE...THEY REPLIED WITH THIS:--
"This refers to your recent inquiry regarding the issuance of a
permanent resident visa.
Your file is under review and medicals are valid till June 21, 2008. It
is likely to be finalized in the early 2008.
We trust this information will be of assistance"
SO DOES THIS MEANS THAT THEY WILL HOLD OUR PPs FOR 7-8 MONTHS!!!??!!!!!!
IS THIS NORMAL?? MEANS ITS SIMPLY UNRESISTABLE....PLZ ADVICE

It probably means that they have used up the quota for 2007 and will issue you visa once new year starts.

Send them an e-mail again asking the same question but not in Capitals!! Just ask them casually.

You should be pleased to have got an answer to your query.
I think the most important here is that you will get your PP in future.
Yes it is all frustrating and waiting can be agonizing in some cases. Administration takes time especially in India .... be patient! Things will come at the time they should.
