Subject: Timeline for application from India
  Hello,

I have made my application from India in Jan 2004 through a consultant / immigration lawyer in India. I would like to know the time required for my visa to come through.

Whenever I ask my consultant he says that it will take a year or more as the immigration dept. is clearing a backlog.

When I received my file number, the letter accompanying my file number said 44 months. I am a bit worried as there is no definate reply from my consultant.

My consultant adviced me that he can get me a visa much faster using the HRSDC option. Is this genuine and will I get a visa? He is asking me to pay him more for this option.

Depending on how soon I will get a reply from the immigration department which is hopefully expected, does it make sense to go for the HRSDC option?

In your opinion what would be the time frame in the above situation i.e a reply from the immigration department under normal circumstance (without using the HRSDC option) and using the HRSDC option?

Thank you,
Mistry

Hi Mistry, what is meant by HRSDC option ? Sounds a new topic and don´t insist on consultants asking money, they are money tappers, I lost a lot. For 2004 applicants from CHC New Delhi can be during 2010 according to present back log.

You can contact an employer directely and get a job offer make your entry faster. good luck !
