yes, you can BUT the chances of your being able to practice your profession would not be promising. Licensing etc is extremely challenging. There is huge debate about this discrepancy and change is on its way but for the moment, I would not abandon your country or your training until Canada can prove we would treat your fairly.

I think licencing laws for doctors should not be made linient in any way. After all, you can´t take patients´ lives for the sake of providing jobs to foreign doctors. It will be ridiculous if they do that. Canada will also losse its high medical efficiency..,its already lost much else.

I accept and understand the postive side of your post. Canada could not and will not open the door widely to every medical graduate from all over the world and allow them to practice straightaway. However, why do you think the Canadian medical standard is uperior to that of Western Europe? Why do doctors from UK, France, Germany..etc still need to re-qualify and re-licensing?

Here is how to have your credentials assessed. Go to www.cic.gc.ca site and click on To Immigrate left side. Find the BC PNP application and click on BC Health Watch who will assess your credentials.

If you were not educated in England, US, OZ NZ or Hong Kong I doubt they would approve you.

If they do go after a work permit on a contract basis.
