Subject: File Transferred
  Hi

I applied for canadian immigration at Buffalo NY office under skilled worker category. I got my file number in the month of March 2007. I checked the status of my application and it is showing that my file has been transferred to LOS ANGELES Office.

I never requested to transfer my file. So I want to know that now will it take more time to process my Canadian Immigration Application.

It would be helful if you can give me some rough idea that when should expect something from Canadian Immigration.

Thanks in advance

It is the liberty of CIC offices to transfer your file if they want, so don´t worry if you did not ask for it, they do what they want with your file.

From what I know, it means that things are moving on and they keep processing your file. It is always hard to tell WHEN to expect things.

I got my AOR in April 2007 (ie 1 month after you) and got medical request in July 2007 so it seems they are doing faster for 2007 applicants.

Just wait and see. Maybe others have experience in transferring files then processing times.

So relax !
