Hi Everybody,
I have a question regarding passport request. It has been 4 months since I did my medicals. I have applied at Nairobi CIC office and I am now thinking to ask them through fax. I mean I am not clear why such a delay exist. What else can I do to know the status of my case?

Kenya/Nigeria gets special attention . (in reply to: About passport request)
Sorry to say this but applications from Nigeria and Kenya get special attention from Canadian offcials, due to the very high number of fraudulent cases.
One out of every three Nigerian applicants is rejected due to improper identification and counterfeight educational documents, and ouright lies on the paperwork.
That alone backs up the local CIC office with garbage files, that have to to checked and then rejected.
The blame lies with the high number of fraudulent applications, not the CIC staff. You will just have to be patient, just like all the other people, in countries around the world, who are waiting for their applications to be processed, too.
