Subject: Landing visa question
I just did my landing & it went through very well. I became a PR of Canada. After I became PR, the officer drew a line across my PR visa though. Do they normally do this? If yes, why?

I´m guessing because your landing was completed, and therefore your visa was processed and completed too. The visa is there to validate the landing.

Remember that your PR Visa is valid for one entry, because your landing was completed, you do not need it anymore.

Do not forget to have your PR card in order to travel abroad.

Don't throw the visa way, keep it just in case. (in reply to: Landing visa question)
Don´t throw the visa document away. Keep it just in case you need to show it, sometime in the future.

Don´t USE it, just keep it in the drawer at home.

Similar experience (in reply to: Landing visa question)
I have a similar experience when i entered Canada, the officer drew a line accross my visa. I am on a work visa with multiple entry and valid for 3 years. Can I still use it to re-enter in case I leave Canada for a vacation? Is it normal for them to do that on a multiple work visa too?
