Do I need to report unrelated job change?

Subject: Do I need to report unrelated job change?
Does EVERY change in our situation have to be reported to the visa office? For instance if you went from one unskilled job to another during the process then you don´t have to report it since it has nothing to do with your application as a skilled worker.
I don´t have an arranged employment. I am on an open work permit. At the time of application I was working at a job which was not my profession and was not of the required skill level. Recently I switched to another job, also not on that level. Meanwhile I am still pursuing my own profession (within the skilled worker category) part-time contact basis (self-employed). So there has been no change in my profile as a skilled worker. The change concerns only my present full-time job which is not on the CIC´s NOC list. Do you think I still have to report this change? What is the point of reporting it if it wouldn´t earn or cost me any points?
Normally, I wouldn´t mind reporting it. However, in view of the fact that CIC advises us against causing delays by engaging in unneccessary contact and correspondence with the visa office, I am reluctant.
Please help me figure this out. Thanks.
