Subject: Post graduation work permit -- Never post it?
  Hi,

I have applied for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP). It seems that they issued it pretty quick (I checked with them). It has been about 3 weeks now since they issued it. But, I never received it. Similar thing happened when I applied for an off-campus work permit. I asked them to send it again. I received only a replacement work permit later (That reached me correctly).

Now, they are saying that I have to wait for 6 weeks to get a replacement for the PGWP. I really doubt that they never posted it. Does anyone has similar situation like me?. I sent the application to unit 777 (specific unit for student matters).

your reply is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

So previously you had a problem with snail mail hmmmmm

Is there any chance your at fault????
Could you be giving the wrong postal code????

Nope, CIC Vegreville-CPC takes the processing fees from hundreds of thousands of InLand applicants and deliberately mails the documents to the wrong address.

Come on! It is so easy to blame others. When they are wrong they are wrong but conspiracy theories, LOL

Next time mail it to the correct address. You should of read the guide. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/5553E.PDF

Citizenship and Immigration - Work Permit
Case Processing Centre - Unit 202

Hi Roy,

Thanks for the reply. I don´t think it is my fault. Here is the correct guide for a student.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/5580E.PDF

It is mentioned that applications must be sent to the following address:

Citizenship and Immigration - Work Permit
Case Processing Centre ? Unit 777
Vegreville AB T9C 1X6

And, that is the address I sent my application to!.

There is noway that my address is wrong including postal code!!!.

Whatelse can I do, other than waiting for 6 weeks :(.
