Hi,
I am a Burmese National, working in UAE for more than three years.
I´ve got married in last June in my home country, Burma.
My husband is US Green Card Holder presently working in Canada with Work Permit.
I would like to visit him for about 2 weeks.
But what I am worried about is the Counselor may reject my TRV application as I do NOT have strong tie of home and family here in UAE and also my salary is not too much, and some advise me that it would be better to apply Open Work Permit in stead of TRV.
Could you kindly advise me to which type of visa should I try?

You are eligible for open work permit in Canada being the spouse of a work permit holder, Good luck!

You need TRV in any case to enter Canada whether you apply for open work permit or not. Since your husband is already there on a work permit and is already a US Green Card holder you should not have problems in visiting him.
Your husband has to show that he can support you during your stay in Canada and also that you and he both will leave Canada once his work permit expires, that is, where his green card will help. Ask him to write a letter detailing how these issues will be addressed.
I am just wondering why were you not included in his original application.
