Subject: sponsoring parents for permanent immigration
I came to canada after marriage;my (ex)spouse sponsored me.We have since separated(not divorced yet).I have no relatives in Canada and would therefore like to sponsor my parents for permanent immigration.

1.My income is $25,000 per annum.I was told that this is not sufficient income to sponsor for PR.Is that true?

2.Since I was originally sponsored by my (ex)spouse to come to Canada;can I sponsor my parents even though I have not yet got divorce.Would the marital status(separated)be an issue?

3.Is there a certain period I need to wait before sponsoring them?

4.Any info on above would be deeply appreciated.

Thanks!!
