I am canadian born and married to a us citizen my question is...If I was on social assistance in canada for the past 3 months and I want to sponsor my husband who is living in the united states? Will I qualify as a sponsor or will I be denied due to my status of income? Any info will be appreciated.
Thanks

You won't qualify as a sponsor (in reply to: Qualifying as a Sponsor????) In order to be a sponsor, the rules require that you be able to finacially SUPPORT the Immigrant, in Canada for a full year. Obviously you can´t do that in your present situation.
