to obtain a student visa you need to prove to CIC that you will go home when you are finished classes. Can you assure them of that? That will likely answer your question.

Well, student visa & PR application are seperate process,

for student visa you need documents from university, proof finances to cover your expenses etc

If u are coming to Canada on student visa , you might have transfer your file to USA jurisdiction for processing, that will make process fast , I guess u are from india

They wont give it to her no matter what. I havent seen anyone getting the student visa while their PR is in process. If you do it from somewhere else canadian wont recognise it so better wait till she enters canada. Good Luck there.

If you have offer from good university with scholarship then you will have a smooth process as long as it can be proved that you have significant ties to your home country. If you have offer from good university but no scholarship, it will be a little tougher but still doable. You will have to show money to cover your expenses and again ties to your home country.

We are married and I would stay back. Is this not enough to proove that she has strong ties in the country!!!
