Subject: question regarding pr
i am thinking about applying for canadian pr, but rite now i do not have enough points due to lacking in work experience. I intend to go to canada to obtain a master degree in mba or a diploma in culinary art.On top of that, i am currently in employment and by mid of next year i should have at least a year and a half of work experience. So, i am wondering if i could apply for PR in advance eventhough i do not have enough points? The reason why i want to do that is because i want to get the pr application in line to speed things up. So i would like to know if i could do that? applying for it in advance??

Its no use to apply unless you have the pass marks. The rules are that you must have the required points at the time of application.

Almost Perfect is absolutely right, if you don´thave the required points then expect that you will not be granted PR. It will be a waste of money and time if you will submit your application not achieving the required points at the time of application. If you are really serious in getting PR, wait for the proper time until you get 67 points required. Take your time !!!!!

Canadian immigration acts in unpredictable ways sometimes. One place they say you need to have pass marks to apply. Another they mention all the points accumulated till your IA are counted.

I know quite a few in-Canada applicants who applied with less than 67 points and got their PR by updating their files later on. I even know few people who applied with their co-op experience of 1 year and since co-op experience is not counted their files were not rejected outright and later on got PR by providing one year experience. I am still trying to understand how exactly the system works.

With SAP no one will advice you to apply without having the required points as no one knows how they are going to treat SAP applications. Choice is yours whether to take a place in queue and risk it or not to risk it.

try coming to Canada as a student to do your culinary arts training - particularly BC. It is a skill we are short of, and there may be an opportunity to stay as a provincial nominee.
