Hi Roy,
It´s going to be one year in mid-July that our file reached Havana. Today my husband got a phone call from the embassy. They told him to go there Monday to pick-up the form for 2nd medical and to call Van Troy Clinic to make an appointment.
I heard that it usually takes 45 days to process, is it about right? Does it mean that they are given him the visa?

Yes and I suggest you formally invite him right now. You need to go to the Cuban Embassy/Consulate and fill in the official invitation. It might be on the web site..
BE SURE TO TAKE YOUR PASSPORT WHEN SIGNING IN FRONT OF THE cUBAN OFFICIAL.

Expect to be called from the Embassy for him to pick up his COPR real soon but if you start the process for his exit visa you both will be a lot happier sooner.
France just think your going to wake up in his arms every morniong.
Hold that thought for all the times when he does something wrong.

Ha ha ha! I sure will think about that when he gets on my nerves!!! As you might have noticed, I´m strong headed so there might be fireworks outside the bedroom as well, I am aware of that! If I wasn´t that strong I would´ve never made it this far.
We started his exit process (PRE) in October 2006, we should get his exit permit within a few weeks, probably before we get the damn visa.
What is a COPR? I sent him his letter of invitation in october when we started the PRE, is it what you mean by "formally invite him? Beleive it or not, since June there is a new procedure for the Cuban exit permit, they no longer want an invitation letter, but the marriage certificate that use to be good for 6 months is now only good for 3.

Opinions please:
My spouse got a call from Immigration (Manila) and was told by the lady to be prepared for the medical next month. (MAY).
i didnt know that they can call an applicant and inform to pick up the form from a certain clinic or make an appointment.
thought we would really have to wait for the medical form via mail.
anyways, we are waiting for it then.
due to poor network in Africa, the call was a bit choppy, and not that long.
