| Subject: Which approach is the fastest for obtaining PR? |

Hello, I have a question regarding my personal immigration. I studied in at a University in Canada as an international student and just completed my Nursing Degree. I received my post-graduation work permit and currently I work casually at a Hospital in Calgary as a registered nurse. I work casually because I have a small baby. Me and my husband would like to apply for permanent residence since I finished my degree. I would like to apply as a provincial nominee but the Calgary Health Region, whom I work for, requires me to be in full time employment for at least a year before they can apply on my behalf.
I would like to know if it is wise for us to apply under regular skilled worker category in Buffalo, which will be a lengthy process or if there is any other way for me to apply since I am a health care professional registered and licensed in Alberta. Is there any way to speed up my application other than the PNP program??? My post-graduation work permit expires in 2 years and I don´t know what I would do then if my PR application was not yet approved.
We have been living in Canada for almost 6 years now, established ourselves here well,our child was born here and the uncertainty of our temporary status here is making our lives very stressful.

Go the work permit route.
If you can´t find an employer in Alberta your not a very good Nurse! Get the employer to seek out a LMO for you and you will receive a two year work permit. Or get someone to assist with that.
Once your working you can always approach another facility in another province if your employer is unwilling to assist.
The fastest way is a PNP but with a 2 year work permit you are in control. Pick and choose what ever province is most willing to assist.
