GCS

Sharon asked the question whether or not it was que jumping by submitting an H&C application for PR status of parents instead of outside of Canada Parental sponsorship application.

I am wondering if GOINGCRAZYSPONSOR is a colleague trying to get me to say something that could get me into trouble hmmmmm probably but then am I incorrect?

If one goes to the H&C IP5 manuals and reads IP5 section 5.1 and section 6.7 as well section 6.8 then reads the web site www.sponsoryourparents.ca they should be able to understand that the long processing delays is clearly not what was intended as an objective of the IRPA and it´s regulations.

That REGULATION 11 CREATES a hardship beyond the persons control depending on the country the persons parents must apply in do to the fact that regulation 11 was not a recommendation of the standing committee of Citizenship and Immigration Canada in Building a Nation! NOR IRPA 3 (3) (d) etc. etc.

Sorry for running on colleague.

my comment was not to contradict, it was a statement about the additional hardship that gets placed on the outside sponsorships when people decide to move to the front of the line - even if it is legal.

I resist the idea of people not waiting their turn. Every parent is needy and special, and deserving of support. Not sure what makes some more special than others.

In the early 1990´s a visitor could come and assess employment opportunities and submit a SW application in Buffalo. In one month the person would know if he/she had been kicked for an iterview or would be Landed. If sent for an interview the interview would be in a total of 3-4 months from submitting the application.

Then the Soviet Union applicants came in and started to back up the system. Then Hong Kong started to close and further backed up the system and an awful lot of cooruption happened in Hong Kong visa post.

So they wanted to stop applicants from Hong Kong submitting in Havana and then transferring the files so in 1998 a departmental directive required all off shore applicants to be interviewed. The visa officers loved that so they decided to further reduce their work load by kicking most applicants for an interview to confirm Language skills.

That is how IELTS came to be in an attempt to take the decision out of the hands of the Visa Officers.

The issue is according to IRPA 3 (1) (f) the process is to be a consistant standard and prompt processing.

Who in Canada would pay a $1,000.00 for a couch and wait five years for delivery? Why would someone not want to jump the que when the government stopped parental processing for 18 months and told no one?

Roy, I think we both agree that the system stinks. I was hoping we would hear about some changes by now.

Having your future in limbo for 5 years seems totally outrageous. No wonder people feel disappointed and betrayed once they arrive. They have has so much time to build up their expectations. A entire economy can turn around in 5 years.

Are you hearing anything about processing changes?

Changes are coming Sharon!

I will not take any Federal SW applications ever again. I can not handle what is happening with my file six years later. We will be changing my cvimmigration web site to inform others of an even faster way of getting PR status.

We are branching out into an area that we have been working on for six months now. We are going full tilt to fill employment shortfalls in certain provinces due to chages at HRSDC.

I don´t know of one business that is willing to offer anyone a full time position and wait eight months minimum for the employee to get PR status based on a PNP application so they can take up employment.

We are going to turn our focus on Labour Market Opinion´s and bring in lots of foreign workers. We will first concentrate on the construction trades for Alberta and BC then get into all other areas of high demand positions. The higher the skilled occupation the more difficult it is to get an employer to cooperate with us.

We will be launching our new web site for our new placement company probably early next week.

It is the only logical approach to overseas immigration.

you know what is going to happen... the PNP will trump the SW applicants (and unfortunately we have no choice because we are short of specific skills) but some of these folks are going to end up waiting forever if they are not in a high demand industry. Yuck.

Not sure which is worse, waiting forever, or driving taxi because there is no work in that person´s field of training.
