Subject: In need for advice
  Dear All,
I would like your help in this issue, me and my husband have planned to immigrated to Canada under the skilled worker immigration PR , and we were about to submit the application with the fees, but yesterday I was searching the internet about any news about how it is in Canada, the cost of living and that stuff, and i saw a forum about immigrants in Canada , they were talking very badly about the situation there and how some of them returned back home after they lost their savings without finding any job, or if they found one it won´t be suitable to their level of education, experiences and skills, and how they regret that they moved to Canada after they were living in better conditions in their home country. as they have done everything to get this Canadian experience and assessed their degrees and even some of them joined universities to get Canadian certificates. I would like really to know the truth , ´cause this forum didn´t say any good word about living and migrating to Canada. and actually we want immigrate there seeking a peaceful life for us and our kids, with good life conditions. any advice will be appreciated. Really in need for that advice.

Doaa,
It is unrealistic to think that you will get better from day one of moving to Canada. Moving to Canada is like starting a new life altogether. There are more things yo9u should look at than just the money part. Like you said yourself, peaceful life is one of those.
Success depends largely on doing the right thing at the right time and following the right way.
Moreover, if people have better lives in their home country, why should they move to Canada or anyother place?
There are risks involved but I know people who have done very well and those who failed as well. If you have a good life and are happy where you are, it is not a wise decision to move. Otherwise, its worth the risk!

Well said Almost Perfect.

Individual life choices are the best for all when they are well thought out.

Dreaming of how great the meals are at a particular restaurant because everyone has told you they are sooooo perfect will make your first experience below what you believe they would be.

Go in with an informed mind and some of the little potholes will not seem so bad.

First, i would like to thank you for your advice,
I totally understand that we won´t be in good positions from day 1 or even year 1, we understand that we have to start from scratch as newly born, and we have to do everything possible to be able to get a proper job according to our education and former experiences, that we might assess our certificated and join university again and that stuff, but what we are afraid of, that we will stuck in this scratch or zero level for a very long time as i read in that forum that people have stayed there for 10 years or so and nothing changed , they assessed their certificates and got Phds and MBAs and gained the Canadian experience but still no job according to their level of education just because they are immigrants, so they can´t find a proper job, and they actually say that you will be recruited not for "what you know, but who you know", i just wanted to clear things out and know the truth behind that , would we take the risk or not. will we start from zero for the first couple of years then we will upgrade to the second level or not. Is that true that immigrants feel discriminated there.

Its a whole different issue! The point is whether the immigrants "feel" discriminated or if they "are" discriminated! There are bad apples everywhere. Working in the Middle East I encounter people who discriminate everyone based on their passport. I believe, any organization will not take the risk of losing a valuable employee, based on race if you really prove you are worth. If an organization discriminates me, I would not like to work there anyways...I would rathe rbenefit an organization which welcomes me.

Some people ´feel´ discriminated because they look for an excuse for not making it well...

Moreover, if a company doesnt want to take me because I am of a certain race, I believe its the company´s loss and not mine!
