Subject: Spouse pronsorship???
  Hi )),
I am Russian and currently reside in US on student visa. My boyfriend just moved to Canada and got his PR through his parents who immigrate there as skilled workers. We are going to get married and apply for spouse sponsorship for me while I will be in US finishing my degree.
And I am very confused about following :
1. will the fact that we have been (and will be) living apart make a difference?
2. may i be rejected to enter Canada (even though i have valid multi-entry visitor visa) while application for PR is processing?
3. ones he will be approved as a sponsor, will I be able to work in canada? if not - how much time will it take for me to get a right to work?
4. He doesn´t work and live with his parents - can we be refused because of that? And can his parents have to approve/sign anything?

I am sorry it´s a lot of questions, but I have read a lot of stuff on the official web-site and still getting no clear picture. This is very important for me - so if you know answers or have been in similar situation - PLEASE help me....

Thanks and have a good day)))

1, If there is an interview call, they may ask a few quesitons to confirm the marriage...not a big problem if you guys are not marrying just to get PR as both will know whats going on in each other´s lives

2, If you have a visitor´s visa for Canada, your application will not effect your entry

3, You will be able to work in Canada after YOU become PR in this case

4, Income is not an issue to be able to sponsor. His parents do not need to sign anythign for you.

** Make sure you apply from the US/ outside of Canada. In-Canada applications take much longer than outside applications to complete the process.
