Subject: Where do I intend to live.
I apologise if this is a really basic question however, my wife and I are UK citizens and we are now completing the initial simplified application process for skilled workers. On the application it asks us where we intend to live, the problem being that we are not entirely sure at this stage as it largely depends on job availability if we are successful. Can anyone shed some light on this problem. Can we put ´unknown at present´ or must it be completed.

I would suggest put Ontario, this does not put you under any binding to work only in the province of Ontario, after you get your PR status. As it says "where you intend to live" and not "where you are sure that you will live"

Thanks for that, much appreciated. Is Ontario just an example or is it a particularly good place to live?

Correct.

You can put anywhere you want in "where you intend to live" you have no obligations to follow that.

I had the same issue when I completed the forms since I don´t have a job in Canada so you can put anywhere you like.

In fact in my case I put the city where I had a job interview, then after I submitted my papers I came to know I did not get the job ... so it really does not matter. It is better to write something and not to leave a BLANK because it would look like your form is not complete then means potential future delays

Sorry, just one other thing. It asks for the city or town, would a province be sufficient. I don´t want them to return it on a technicality. Cheers!

You can write any English speaking city or province. Make sure you dont write Quebec as it has different requirements.
