Subject: PR card processing time - Job scene
I landed on March-22nd - 2007.. Our PR card arrived at my friends place today... so it´s 3 weeks time..

My experience with Canada is great.. I was tasting the water (IT job) in Canadian market... while doing that - I got 5 calls in last 2 weeks and one employer closed 5 digit offer with me as IT - PM. Unfortunately - I am not going with this offer as I have planned to move to Canada for good in Mid of 2009.. So hoping I may able to get job as well...

Can you give us your timeline since your submission, presumably 2 years ago ? Can you summarize your experience with the process ... to share with other PATIENT applicants.
Thanks

If it were me and if a good offer, I´d take the PM job position now. After going through the rigorous application process, I´d want to start my new life in Canada asap.

Almost perfect -> 5 digits means 99,999 as well... They offered me in between 85 - 95 K (variable bonus).. My intension was to tell you people Canada´s IT market is good.

Thanks for sharing your timeline.

I think IT market is good everywhere ... I wish it was my topic too. Did you get job offer BECAUSE YOU BECAME PR or did you get them before that ?

First question - they asked me - Are you PR?

Now you make more sense. But if I were you, I would take up the job as I intend to settle down in Canada eventually. But I do understand you may have prudent reasons for making that choice. Good Luck.
