Subject: Study Permit
  Hello guys

I have been in Canada on Study Permit since Aug. 2006. My SP is going to expire in July 2007. I would like to extend it but there are a few questions which are not clear for me.

First of all, when I applied for SP in my country in 2006 they didn´t require medical test. However, at the POE (in 2006) the officer told me that I should have done medical test. Anyway, the officer gave me the Study Permit, he didn´t care to much about it. Now, I would like to extend my SP (Processed in Canada), are CIC going to require medical test?

My second question is about supporting documents. I know that I have to prove my strong tie to my country. I gave all documents to CIC when I applied for SP in my country. Do I have to send the same documents again or they have them in their system?

And my last question is about TVR. I know I have to apply for TVR (according to my citizenship) after I received SP. Is that possible that someone got his/her SP but not the TVR? It would sound strange...

Thanks in advance

1. When you renew your study permit from within Canada you are not usually required to submit medicals. You were not requested for medicals probably cause of this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/dcl.html.
2. You only need to show that you are a student in good standing and have enough money to pay for your education. Check the extension application for further details.
3. You need not apply for TRV as you can stay in Canada with a valid study permit though you may not enter with just a study permit.
