| Subject: PR card procedure for applicant in Canada |

Hello,
I work in Ottawa on a work permit. I had applied for PR and already
finished medical, police check, etc. I just received notification
from CIC, Buffalo stating that the processing of my application is
complete. They have asked me to send the original passport + 3 photos
for issuing the immigration visa.
I am not sure why this is required as I am already in Canada and has
a valid work visa in the passport.
If anyone already went through this, could u please tell the next
steps to get the PR card. How long does it take from this stage?
My apologies if this question is already answered in this forum.
I will appreciate if someone can point me to same.
