Subject: Skilled or Family based? How?
  Hi

I have 3 yrs of working experience in IT and I am 24 yrs old now.
another thing is, my sister(now lives in the country I am loving in-not canada) just got married to a Canadian citizen.

How can this marriage help me to get some points either in skilled worker based application or family based application?

will cic ask my sister(once she goes in Canada and gets her pr through her husband) if she would want to give me some points for my immigration application?

Jnathan,

Your best bet for now is to file a federal skilled worker application.

Once your sister becomes a Canadian PR and moves to Canada, you will be able to claim 5 adaptability points for having a relative living in Canada.

When you calculate your points, make sure you would qualify without the 5 points described above, just in case your sister is not a PR at time of your initial assessment.

If you do not have sufficient points to qualify, then wait until your sister is a PR.

Either way, inform yourself by studying CIC´s website carefully:

Good Luck!

There are about six IT occupations that do not require HRSDC authorization (special permission to hire a foreign national) and that is the SUPER FASTEST way in.

Of course you have to get an offer of employment. Most seekers of employment focus on the three or four big cities to obtain job offers because they want the most money for the occupation possible. I do not recommend that!

To increase your chances select a province/city where the money wouold be less but the cost of living would be far less then lets say Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver. That way your further ahead. Smaller centres are like god´s country--BEAUTIFUL--but god made it and God forgot it! Most young people leave the first chance they get and the employers find it real difficult to find skilled employees.

That would increase your chances that the employer would want to hire a foreign national like you.

Uniden is right to the most part with the limited information you posted apply as a Federal SW. There is no mention of your education level, official language level or your actual occupation etc. etc.

If your from a country that would allow you to come to Canada and seek out employment you could apply as a PNP SW if your soooo lucky to find an employer that is willing to wait nine months (average processing times) for you the wonder employee to start employment.

Depending on your personal circumstances the WP route may be a slightly better option. If you get a work permit (WP) then while working in Canada apply for an offer of full time employment, switch employers and seek out a PNP certificate and apply while living and working in Canada.

Good Luck!
