Sam,

I found this to be somewhat be true also, with IT experience of 20+ years. Age might be more of a factor for me, though.

Nevertheless, the Canadian economy is not as dynamic at the American. It does take longer to land the right IT spot there than in the U.S. However, one has to balanace that with the other benefits of life in Canada. Universal accessible health care for all, low crime, varous social benefits and assistance, and people who I find more friendly, approachable, and a feeling of being part of the social community missing in the U.S.

You know there´s a big government advertising campaign going on now there (TV, radio, etc.) to get companies to hire immigrants who are qualified professionals in their fields. Th government recognizes the difficulties new immigrants have in finding jobs in their professions, as is trying to do something about the situation.

So my advice is be patient and continue with the search.

get passport and go to us (in reply to: Not looking promising)
My advise is to stick in canada to minimum and maximum 3 years. then get canadian citizenship and then start working in the us.

So its only for 3 years that you´ll have some dufficulty in job finding--after that don´t even look back at canada.

Nice advise. What say?

Question for both of you. Why bother to become Canadian PR and citizen if you´re just going to move back to the U.S. and live life there?

Seems like a waste of Canada Immigration time and resources that could be used to reduce waiting time for people really interesting in living in Canada.

This board should be for people really wanting to immigrate to Canada who have integrity, instead of misleading Canada and abusing its immigration laws.

canada or us (in reply to: Not looking promising)
I´m sure everybody on earth wants to work/live in us. Everybody wants the american dream. So whats wrong in deciding whats good for us.

FYI..the canadian govt. is not doing charity by offering immigration. The canadians do not want to welcome/offer jobs to immigrants, and so the immigrants have to struggle in canada.

USA is prosperous because it welcomes immigrants and its a super power. I´m sure nobody smart will want to stay in canada afer 3 years. And where is the question of patriotism, when you´re leaving your country of birth to immigrate to canada in the first place.

Its just a smart advise..and for free..nothing else..

canada to us! (in reply to: Not looking promising)
Hey Sharon,

If YOU think this is propaganda, then this is your (mis)understanding.

If YOU think its better to live in canada than in the us, then why don´t you offer some links to good jobs in canada that poor samusa is searching for. That is the very reason why this thread started in the first place.

Be honest to yourself and stop showing false suppoort for "non-existing" jobs/wanting to do charity in canada. Man, if you´re so much into charity, then why don´t you do that in your country of birth, why are you even meddling with immigration in the first place.

God Bless.
