  hey again

cheers roy and anyone who replies in advance.

Im getting my 12 month work VISA through BUNAC as a way of both being able to stay in canada legally and work, but mainly because my partner, who is canadian, and i, who am english have a daughter together, who was born English, and want to set up family life in canada. What should i do once i get iunto the country on my work VISA? Does she sponsor me straight away? What process should i go through? Permanent residence or Citizenship or marriage or what? Basically once i get to Canada i dont want to ever leave, until i have permanent residence and/or my Canadian passport.

Cheers again
Ryan

In order to apply for a Canadian Passport you have to be a Canadian citizen but you have to become a Permanent resident first.

If your parner is a Canadian citizen and you are not married but have been in a common law relationship for over a year, you may qualify as a family member.

He/She has to apply and be approved as sponsor and then you can apply for Permanent resident status.

Look the official web site of Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
