We used a co. in San Diego called AA Transport - dont have their tel no but you can just look it up on the internet or yellow pages. They were very prompt and took less than 2 weeks to deliver the car from California to Toronto. I definitely recommend them.

saa, we´re planning to move this summer. about your question to dee, i checked some of the transporters website and i´ve found out that you are not allowed to put anything in your car. first, it is not advisable. the transporter company is not liable for any damage or loss. secondly, you might have a problem getting an insurance because of those personal stuff. yes, it is not taxable as long as you declare it.

you are not allowed to put anything in the car. Put your original title in the glove box and hand over the keys to the driver of the car carrier.

Dee, would you mind telling me how much did yo pay?. I have a 2002 honda car and I got a quote of $1775. Is this rate fair enough?. Did you pay extra for the federal registration fee?. Thanks Dee for your info, I really appreciate it.

Seems a bit high, but try getting quotes from a few companies - try AA Transport in San Diego - 1800 466 6935 -they are pretty reasonable so you can compare the price.

You will still need to pay a few hundred CAD here for registration, a few auto inspections etc., it will be a few hundred dollars additional.
