| Subject: PR application under spouse sponsorship category |

It has been 5 months of wait since I last mailed in my PR application through sponsorship by my husband. I can say that it is pretty much a "lonely" wait. I am not able to work nor study. I was wondering if anyone of you had the same experience or advices to share?
Also, if there is anyone out there who had received their PR through the same category, please share your experience and how long you have waited.

It sounds like you´re an inland applicant, right? I absolutely HATED my time here while I was waiting for PR not being able to work or study. The worst thing was that it lasted a good 8 months, and even when I got work authorisation I couldn´t find a job because they´re hard to come by for immigrants in Montreal who are not willing to do minimum wage jobs (sorry, but I didn´t get a degree for nothing).
I suggest you volunteer, meet as many new people as possible and try and keep busy. You can audit classes if you are in a university city. In the end I got full PR after 18 months and now I´m doing a Master´s degree in Montreal, meeting tons of people and feeling more and more at home all the time. It IS worth it, but I know how hard it is.
