Subject: Need clarification on process
  Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum. My AOR is May 2006 at Buffalo and I am awaiting to hear from CIC. What I gather from people´s posts on this forum is that if all goes well and an interview is waived, one can become eligible for the PR in exactly a year´s time.

My question is, what if this favorable situation happens, then does CIC send you a request for:

1. another FBI clearance
2. medicals and
3. passport to be sent to CIC for PR visa to be stamped?

I am trying to understand what the process invloved is and I will be very grateful if anyone can please give me some understanding into this process.

Thanks in advance!

Newshoes,

While you may not be asked to provide an updated FBI fingerprint report, you are ALWAYS asked to do the medicals, and IF your application is approved it is guaranteed that you will also be asked to present the passport for visa stamping (in person or by mail).

Good Luck!
