Subject: misplaced-PR visa pick up letter |

|
Hi all
my other half recently recieved the visa pick up letter at our residence in hong kong...
she misplaced it and it cannot be found...
the letter just stated that my permanent residence visa was ready to be picked up between 1 pm to 2:15 pm and it has to be picked up within the end of the month.
I have promptly written to the canadian hk authorities about this unfortunate mishap...and asked them to resend/post the letter again!(very embaressed when i was writing this)
My question is : DOES ONE HAVE TO TAKE THE "VISA PICK UP LETTER" ALONG? or can one simply take thier passport and other identifying documents and correspondence from CIC and still get the visa stamped?
IS that peice of paper a crutial document?
thanks ya´all
