Subject: ROY or UNIDEN, PLS HELP!!!
We had our medicals done last Oct.13. Today I got an email from CIC Buffalo stating that our applicatio is still under active consideration. They need the complete results of our medical examinations. I talked to the nurse that we went to and she told me that our medical was signed and received by Oct.30 (Ottawa). What should we do? Do we need to re-do our medical?. Can you give me the phone numbers to Ottawa?. PPLLLSSS...The whole family is being frustrated because of the letter. Thanks so much for your help.

Johnny,

I realy hope your medicals aren´t lost in space and that you do not have to retake them. It´s not just the money issue, but also an unnecessary delay in processing your application.
I don´t know much about the medicals, other than what I´ve learned from other posts. I am not that far in the process yet.

I do have the Ottawa address and phone#, but please note that the phone number is a dedicated line for DMPs (Designated Medical Practitioners), and nobody will probably even open a conversation with you as a "regular mortal". On the other hand, the physician that did your medicals COULD contact Ottawa:

Health Programs Delivery
Medical Services Branch
Citizenship and Immigration Canada
365 Laurier Ave. West, 3rd floor
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
K1A 1L1

DMP hotline phone: (613)946-1321

Hmmm.., let´s see what others recommend, but I would say.. gather as much information as you can as proof that your medicals were done, sent, and have indeed reached Ottawa, then reply to CIC´s letter submitting this proof. Also try to convince someone at your doctor´s office to at least attempt to track down your medicals, possibly by receiving some sort of confirmation from Ottawa by phone, etc.

Good Luck!

Uniden

Thanks so much Uniden. Tomorrow, I´ll call Ottawa, and check if they received our medicals or not. The nurse even told me that MAYBE what happen is that, Ottawa got our medicals BUT they didn´t open the envelope. I don´t know if she´s right or not. But, I have to have answers by tomorrow!!! I´ll keep you posted.

Uniden you´re enjoying this too much! LOL

Johhny almost everything is sent in electronically so go to the Doctor he was paid and get him to assist you in tracking things down.

A good thing to do is to get yourself checked out again by a different doctor in case your ill and do not know it as well.

If no proof or results can be located in a couple of weeks bite the bullet and redo the medicals with a different DMP.

Johnny,

Did you have any luck impersonating a physician when you called that number? I told you that the number is not for us to call and check on things, only for physicians.

Keep us posted anyway!

.................................

Roy,

Yep, I actually enjoy it very much lately! :)

I only respond to the straight-forward questions. What else could an inexperienced guy like me do?!? :)
Everybody jumps when I have a question. Now it´s my turn to jump..

Uniden, I haven´t called Ottawa yet. I read some posts with different phone numbers regarding where to call to check our medical. I scan and email the receipt from my DMP to my lawyer. My lawyer told me not to worry.

Roy, I called the DMP only 3 times since we had our medical. They are always telling me that "We´ve been doing this for the past 20 years and we haven´t lost any single file". Actually, when we were in the clinic, I even asked the lady-in-charge if we can send our medical result thru USPS or UPS so we can track it. The lady said that it´s just a WASTE of money. So, when they told me that Ottawa received and signed it on Oct XXXX, I asked for a confirmation. BUT, they said that they cannot provide anything!!!!

Anyway, we just have to wait.

I had asked my doc to gim me a call if there was any problem with my medical result. here in Bangladesh, docs call the patients about anything negative within a day after the medical is done. Don worry, Delay is the thing that is so well associated with CAN immigration these days.

Roy and Uniden,

Happy happy New year to all.
Today I checked my E-cas and the status changed from IN-PROCESS to DECISION MADE.
It states that:

Medical results have been received and A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

What´s next?. Is it PPR? and how long?

Thanks to you guys for all your guidance. You didn´t know how helpful you are to aspiring CA PR like me.
God Bless you guys.
