Guys, are you sure that the applications can´t be transferred ? One of my friends applied in US while she was on F-1. Subsequently she moved back to Morrocco. CIC tranfered her file to MOrrocco.

P.S. She applied for Quebec´ immigration.

Uniden gave you the manuals sections when it relates to file transfers. I explained the history behind the file transfer. I am not one to say DO NOT purchase a lottery ticket. Go for it.

The odds of getting the file transferred is .......?

Anonymous,

You are right when you say:
"CIC tranfered her file to MOrrocco."

CIC can (but is not obligated to) transfer an application, AND only IF "that transfer would enhance program integrity.. The onus is on the applicant to demonstrate that the transfer of their file would not compromise the integrity of the application evaluation process."

Again, I am not saying that this task is absolutely impossible to accomplish, but it sure seems to be an uphill battle. Roy is right, I believe the odds are not so good. My advice is: Try it, but if it fails the first time, don´t waste your life trying to convince stubborn CIC that you are right. In immigration terms CIC is still "Bruce Almighty" :)

Good Luck!

Uniden

PS - I am not a negativist at all, I just have a perception for reality of things and know when not to try, when to try, when to insist, and when to give up.
