Subject: extra processing fee
I sent my application along with the processing fee in US currency. I sent extra money taking into consideration the currency exchange value. They sent me back my application asking me that I must sent the exact processing fee which is less than what I sent. Does this make sense? Any comment (s)!!!

Actually I did that first but a friend of mine who submitted his application before me suggested that way and he received his extra dollars along with his AOR.

No Google conversion is necessary! The US Dollar <-> Canadian Dollar conversion fluctuates daily..

Just follow this CIC´s OFFICIAL link and pay what you have to pay in US dollars:

Good Luck!

I believe there´s a way to pay by credit card from the CIC website. Even if you have a US issued VISA or MasterCard debit card you could use it to pay the fees and it would convert to the proper CDN dollars. You can print the receipt from the CIC website and you submit that with your application.
