WillCSH,
I just had my interview in LA on October 31. It went well. This is the link where I posted my experience. That officer is not the same one that dealt with my case so I can´t help you with that. Good Luck.

Thank you rgeno79!
first of all, Congratulations
Basiclly, the IO did not ask you too many questions and drive you crazy, and that´s good.
I hope I can meet an IO as good as yours.
Because a lot of people told me the IMM office in LA is very hard to deal with, and they will ask you a lot of questions try to reject you. Also, the office in LA, not like the others, go into a room and have a sit then go processing the interview, they just like the US consulate let you stand in fornt of a window to talk with the officer.
anyway, do you know any others´ will go to LA for interview? and what did you perpare before you attend the interview.
again, congratulations, and thank you for your reply.

I have my interview on January! I´m nervous. All I do so far is renew my FBI clearance & my passport. there´re more things to do such as book the airplane ticket, hotel, car rental, go to my bank to get a letter, etc. Just do my best. Follow the step &.....pray.
It´s hard to read the signature of the IO on my interview letter. Whoever he/she is, I´m nervous!

goodluck for you !

The interview was very formal as I said in the post and he didn´t show alot of emotions, not until afterward when he was satisfied with my responses. During the interview itself I couldn´t tell if he was satisfied or not only at the end. So if he had rejected my application I probably would feel as if he was trying to reject me.

He did ask alot of questions, but I was able to answer them so I didn´t get flustered, but in the back of my mind I was like man this is alot of questions, but I understood he was doing his job.

I dont know what the process is for the other offices but I did feel like more could be done for privacy.

In that same forum one of the members have an interview in LA coming up on Tuesday and they will post when they are finished so you will get even more insight to better prepare for your interview. In terms of preparing I just got all the original documents as instructed in the IA, but as I said he looked at nothing but the bank statement.

I see you already ordered your CAIPS, that helps so that you can know the reason for the interview so that you can have a headstart on what it is they want to clarify. Having this information put me at rest and gave me a chance to know what area they would probably focus on during the interview.

Other than that go over your application and pray and leave it up to God. I know that feeling of uncertainty and anxiety, but once it is over you look back and say it wasn´t that difficult. If you have any more questions just let me know. Check out the forum this week to see that post, and you should consider joining, there is alot of support there and persons who want to help and support you through the process.
