Subject: Applying for Citizenship with less than 1095 days
Hi - I wanted to know if anyone has recently applied for Citizenship with less than 1095 days?

Here are my details:

March 2003 ? entered Canada on a work permit
July 2005 ? became a landed immigrant

I have had some vacations outside of Canada and would need to apply in Oct 2007 to meet the 1095 day requirement.

Is CIC going to be very picky about applying some 53 days ahead of the 1095 requirement? If they reject this, what are the consequences?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

More likely your application will be refuse since you haven´t meet the time "In Canada"

Consequenses..... non as long as you do not misrepresent your self in the application.

There is a residency calculator at the CIC website, use it. It will tell you if you should or should not apply for your citizenship.

The fisrt they CIC do is look to see if you meet the 1095. If you dont its sent right back!
